    3. Install the Corel Painter 8 Update.

    2. This update will not work on regular Trial versions, or on the language versions other than the one it is intended for.

..I love this new Painter 6 program except for the fact that I've had to reinstall again and again and then discovered there was a patch that I had to download to fix the numerous glitches. I have come to the conclusion that Painter 6 probably works better on a Mac. Guess I'll have to get one. — Jacquelin Vanderwood (Web Archive)

Note: Jacquelin's comment does seem to be fairly ominous. Fortunately, the 6.1 patch is available above too - 2nd DL above for Macintosh & 4th DL for Windows (English language). Pis great escape mac os.
